Good piece, however it assumes the support of the military, which isn’t guaranteed. We’re likely to see armed conflict between militias and police or national guard, I think, no matter the outcome. I was considering writing something similar about the U.K. over the weekend but decided against it – what would it achieve? We’re already in the worst case scenario and rather than people getting together to protest constructively or cooperate, we see thousands on the streets to support racism or racists taking advantage of conspiracy theorists and anti-maskers. Is another piece attempting to shock to action just more likely to push them further into denial?
